Take care. --Fred Well, today marks one month since my book, Making Your Own Luck: From a Skid Row Bar to Rebuilding Indiana University Athletics, was officially published, and I have been having a ball participating in its roll-out. We’ve already put on 18 events with various partners, and the book has additionally generated positive attention through numerous television interviews, newspaper articles, podcasts, and the like. Click the image below for an example from the Indianapolis Star. My publisher is very pleased with sales and has already ordered a third printing. The book is proving to be a popular Christmas gift. Thank you for your interest in and support of the book. Take care. --Fred
In promoting Making Your Own Luck, I have attempted to also promote local, independently-owned bookstores, and there is none finer than the new Morgenstern Books. I was glad to be joined at the book launch event by the IU Alumni Association with its Life Members. Below are a few photos from the fun evening. Take care.

--Fred I had a great time at my first launch event at the Rey Key, hosted by my friends at Indiana Humanities. It was an honor to see everyone and give attendees a taste of the book through a short reading. Below are a few photos from the event. Photos courtesy of Indiana Humanities.
Local author Joe Jansen, whose advice was indispensable to me during the editing process for the book, posted kind comments about the book and the launch event at the Red Key.
Read Joe's insights in his own words below. Thanks, Joe! Perhaps appropriately for my final video of this series, this week’s precept is: When you go out, go out the right way.
The book releases next week - on Tuesday, Nov. 2! Through the book, I'm excited to share with you, in even greater detail, these precepts played out in my own life. Order it here.
Take care.
